INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH Pfaff model 139 Straight Lock Stitch and Zigzag (with Reverse Feed). Serial number 1280116.
This machine is in perfect condition and was built like a tank! The Pfaff hardened steel parts made this machine very strong, invincible and perfect for all your heavy duty jobs. Of course it will sew perfectly also in light material like cotton, silk, etc. by using a smaller needle and thread. World renowned Pfaff machines were built to last forever when taking care of them. This particular one, is in a perfect condition. No wear on any part, all the original factory adjustments are intacts, it is ready to sew for decades again! All the samples to set it up were sewn with ease. The quality of the stitch is stunning, just like it was when it left the Pfaff factory: a perfect stitch! You will enjoy the smoothness of operation and it will run just fine for years to come.

Back in the 50's and 60's, everything was done with the purest raw materials like cast iron, hardened steel, etc. Remember ''The best is the cheapest'' on a long time basis.
It uses standard needles, bobbins and HIGH shank attachments available locally at any fabric store and sewing centers. Everything needed to sew like needles, bobbins, and the samples used to set up will be included. This machine is ready to go, fully threaded, right out of the box !

I used for all these samples the Coats S-964 Nylon Upholstery Thread which is strong, durable and rot-proof. Equivalent to the commercial size 69 thread. The maximum thread size this machine can use is SIZE 69.

I use a wide variety of samples to set up my machines. I recommend anyone buying a machine to be assured it has been tested in at least 8 different type of materials. This way chances are the machine will sew easily most of your projects.
This machine WILL NOT sew horse saddles, knife sheaths (hard and very dense vegetable tanned leather), hard tooling leather used in horses equipment or other hard to pierce things: for this you need a post bed machine. It WILL NOT sew anything exceeding 5/16'' inch thick.
