This 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 Wagon had been in storage 30 some years before i purchased 4+ years ago with out its original 260 motor. It has a nice floors and had  rust in the rear quarters that was repaired years ago but the car is 51 years old. The original Borg-Warner t-10 transmission was in the  rear storage area with a new ac/compressor with no bracket but the hoses, dryer and ac coil in front of the radiator is still intact. and the radiator is in it.I purchased a 1963 period correct 260 and had it installed  after going to the store this spring  running great  the dist.,shaft broke to the oil pump and it spun a main bearing  we pulled it apart two weeks back.for inspection. This week i purchased another 1963 260 with 58,000 miles on it  from a fellow putting a 302 in his 1963 post car. This motor also goes with it.Along with the new starter, new generator ,new  timing chain set, new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. I also had a new set of disc brakes put on the front , new air shocks , new dual exhaust, new rear drum brakes , new fuel pump, new point, plugs ,cap rotor.I didn't get the drive shaft with it but had a new one  built with a new yoke and spline from Summit Racing to fit the t-10.It has all factory tinted glass, original interior, vinyl roof, roof rack radio delete.I did leave the old school Sun Super Tach on the dash ,and  traction bars on and took out the curtains and the blue, black and cream colored shag carpeting and took off the trailer hitch that i still have..The gas tank was redone  but still has a small leak .I would put a nice aluminum one in the storage area till an original is found or repair the one in it.The perfect size i have found are $150.00 to $200.00 new on ebay. I bought the car mainly because of it being a wagon ordered with the 4-speed and the v-8  it is very rare.It is ready for some one to finish up where i have left off  and have some fun while you drive your investment  I have a new business venture coming up in the new year and the toys are going. If you have something to trade let me know.also .It might work for everyone in the end.If you have question or need more pictures  call or e-mail me thanks for looking Cliff 1-828-553-4380
