From IBC Replacement Valves to IBC Adaptors to a BSP thread, Hose Tail or MDPE Pipe Connector

Types of IBC Outlet:

60 mm x 6 mm:

The most common thread found on IBCs is the 60 mm x 6 mm thread. If your outlet measures 60 mm (measuring the outside diameter of the outlet including the threads) and has a 6 mm pitch thread (measurement between each thread) choose this option when ordering.

This thread can be found on both the bottle of the IBC if the valve has been removed as well as on the end of the valve itself.

60 mm x 2 mm:

Same as above this outlet measures 60 mm as an outside diameter measurement. However this outlet has a much finer thread having a pitch of 1 - 2 mm between each thread. 

Be careful when measuring this thread as there are also outlets which measure 63 mm with a very fine 2 mm pitch thread. These should also have a indentation all the way round the outlet just before the threads. If so our 2 inch female camlock connections will fit this. Copy and paste this link:

Just choose the 2 inch female camlock option first and then choose what you would like to go to.

This 60 x 2 mm thread is only found on the end of the valve and never on the bottle of the container itself.

75 mm x 6 mm

This thread is only ever found on the bottle of the container itself. Measuring 75 mm on the outside diameter and having a 6 mm pitch.

We either have a Replacement IBC valve to fit this where the end of the valve will give you the standard 60 mm x 6 mm thread along with a blanking cap.

Otherwise we also have an adaptor to take this to a 2 inch BSP male thread or straight to a 60 mm x 6 mm male IBC thread.

100 mm x 8 mm

This thread can be found on both the container as well as on the end of the valve. It can be quiet obvious that this is your outlet as it is the largest that can be found on the IBC. Outside diameter should be 96 - 100 mm and the thread pitch - 8 mm.

Once you have determined what size adaptor you need here are the options we have for you to go to:

BSP Thread

This is British Standard Pipe Thread.

On the majority of the adaptors we can go to either a 2 inch, 1½ inch, 1 inch or ¾ inch BSP Male or Female Thread. On the 100 mm outlet we can even go to a 3 inch BSP if required.

Hose Tail / Connection

These adaptors will come with a hose tail barbed connection so you can push on a jubilee clip a flexible hose to your IBC. The only exception is the hoselock connection which gives you a quick release push on fitting. This fits a standard garden hose.

If you already have flexible hose there to determine the size you require measure the inside diameter of your pipe.

MDPE Pipe Connection

Our MDPE Pipe Connectors will fit either blue or black MDPE Alkathene solid pipe. When measuring this pipe you need to measure the outside diameter to determine what size connector you require.

On these options we have MDPE Pipe connector straights, bends or tee pieces.

IBC Replacement Valve

These are designed to go onto the thread on the bottle of your IBC. Make sure you remove your IBC valve before you measure the thread on the bottle of the container.

If the thread measures any more than 75 mm outside diameter contact us as there is also an 80 mm IBC thread but these are extremely rare.
