Garcia Band Fans!!!... and with no-more further adieu --- here, it is. The Vintage-Original Venue Specific Concert Shirt from the Classic! 8/30/87 J.G.B. Show ... at The Greek!!! The Legendary! U.C. Berkeley Greek Theatre, that is - and a place which I am so very proud to call 'my old stompin' ground', way back in the day. Firstly, if you've never seen a Rock & Roll Show at the Greek? My advice is to just figure out some sort of reason... and go! As far as outdoor Amphitheatre spots anywhere... it just cannot be beat. Red Rocks, The Gorge, etc., etc. are all way plush, way scenic, and way cool in thier own right - but, the Greek... is just "The Greek"!!! And, other than say '68, '81, '82, '83, '85, '85, '86, '87, '88, and '89 Grateful Dead? -- you really could make an argument that this Garcia Show on 8/30/87 takes a crack at the 'Top-Ten' of all time most important Shows ever played beneath those majestic concrete pillars. And too, if you love Rock & Roll and its best players... this day even included the one & only Bonnie Raitt! And, most importantly - what really makes this Shirt arguably "The" Garcia Band Shirt of the "Post-'86 Era" is this simple fact that the whole process in this fragile post-'86 era was in-essence a "Triumphant Return" by Jerry, after a near death diabetic coma experience in the middle of '86. So, starting with the 1st 'Comeback' return of Garcia in '86 (which, was actually billed-as the "Triumphant Return" of the Jerry Garcia Band) - each one of these Shows... both G.D. & J.G.B. were special little steps, one by one - obviously. And, the simple fact is... Jerry worked oh so quick! - as by the time this August '87 Greek Show rolled around on the Tour-schedule? Garcia was back to being himself... which is, naturally... Lightning Hot! Probably the three most-important 'Shirts' at least - from this vital Garcia & J.G.B. Era were Halloween '86, Eel River '86, and then this one - which really, is the biggest & the best. I mean just 'Look' at this Shirt and its design. First, it's a Black-Tee! - secondly, it's Venue-Specific with the Venue/Dates/etc. - thirdly, it's "The Greek"! - and last... but most-definitely not least --- it features "Cats Under The Stars" Art by the one & only Stanley Mouse!!! And too... if you looked nice & closely - you will see that this design is actually a Red/Red! variation of the Album Cover Red/Blue!! I mean are you kidding me Fans??! This is absolutely no-joke at all... as what you are looking at here is the Greatest! Jerry Garcia Band Shirt of all-time, from any Era there is! Granted, this-is just the opinion of 'me' - but, if it's any consolation... it is a fact that I think about this stuff all-the-time, and have pretty much been doing this all the same for the last 30-Years! I mean after all... it's Only Rock & Roll - but I like it. And, naturally... when it comes to Garcia?? There simply is no-equal, and there never will be. 'The' Jerry Garcia Band - at the UC Berkeley Greek Theatre - on August 30, 1987... now That! is Rock & Roll. Enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!

As this is a lightly used vintage collectible shirt - here are the issues that stand out to my eye upon very close inspection :
>>> tag is faded out - brand is "Anvil", and the tag size "L" (Large) is visible inside the size-circle (please see photos/photo #12).
>>> two (2) tiny white spots located on top front left of shirt, near sleeve seam (please see photos/photo #10).
>>> one (1) mis-stitch on front collar - either a factory mis/re-stitch, or possibly a later re-stitch repair (please see photos/photo #11).
>>> cracking of the design emblem images (please see photos).
>>> light fading of the shirt material fabric dyes (please see photos).
