Offered here is a brand new US Army M1 helmet steel shell + chin strap.

The helmet is genuine army surplus. I purchased these from the Canadian Army; which of course used the US produced M1 helmet until the mid 1990's. I purchased all the reserve war stock that they had, which included the shell for sale here. I also have many listings with spare parts, components, and bulk lots (when available).

Without having manufacture boxes I cannot give an exact date when they were made. I also will not look/post any lot # that is located inside each shell - as I have skids full of these and becomes far too complicated for me to list individual lot #'s.

The helmets in this lot are the best that I have - in most cases mint condition. Helmet shown in the pictures is one selected at random. Will come with the same type of chin strap attached, and most likely will have the Styro-foam spacers still taped inside. The shell will most likely have some cardboard residue on the outside (brushes off easy) - the cardboard residue is from thin cardboard separators used when they are stacked together at the factory (if you buy a couple I will try to include those separators). The shell will be mint for the most part. The odd helmet has a bit of paint scraped scratches from when the helmets were stacked on top of each other - the bale wire from the helmet scratches the paint.  There will be some dust on the shells. The inside of teh shell may have a bit of rust dust, or dust.

Each buy it now is for 1 (one) helmet shell with chin strap attached. What you see is what you get - nothing else is included or offered in the buy it now (no liner, no cover, nothing else aside from what you see in the picture)

SHIPPING:
(IMPORTANT TO READ ALL OF WHAT IS WRITTEN BELOW)

It may be a lot to read but it may save you money and explain how we work to get you the best rates / service (combining shipping, special orders, tracking etc).

Combining shipping:
I combine shipping - in many cases small items (extra chin straps etc) will not increase shipping rates at all. Larger items like other helmet shells, clothes, boots etc will increase the shipping rate. I WILL do my best to get you the most accurate and fair rate that I can. If you paid for items separately that had a shipping charge I wi8l refund the extra and send in one package.... always

If your address is in the USA I ship from the USA, if you are in Canada I ship from my Canadian address. All other locations (international) I ship from USA. I use this method to get you the cheapest rate and the safest delivery.

Shipping in the USA:
I am located most of the time in Canada..... I mail your helmet from my address in the good old USA. USPS is GREAT compared to Canada Post. I cross into the USA 2 x each week and bring your goodies across the border with me. Initially there is a slight delay to get into the USPS but it saves time and money in the long run. If I mail from Canada it will be about $11 more shipping, take longer to arrive over the border, and there is always the risk of duty. I use Priority Mail so you will be fully insured and tracking will be available once I mail in the US. As you can see by the last pictures there is room in the box for a few smaller items, or another steel shell. As the weight goes up so does the rate from the post office, my shipping charge will reflect what the post office charges.

Shipping in Canada: I mail out from my address in Canada. Shipping is by Expedited and fully insured and tracked. Shipping is a flat rate in Canada to any location and postal code...a few smaller items the rate does not increase.

International shipping: If you do not see your country listed then most likely I will not ship to you as I have have issues with your postal service in the past. I may make an exception if you contact me. Your item will be mailed using
Priority Mail International - and insured for the full amount. Please do not ask me to reduce the value for customs; I will not commit that sort of fraud. As well, I insure for the full amount and cannot use a lower dollar value for customs purposes. USPS claims a delivery time of 6 - 10 business days to many major markets; however from personal experience it WILL be longer. Tracking gets updated at all steps of the delivery. I use my US location to initiate the package from because it is less than 1/2 of the cost to use Canada Post within Canada. This can be sent by First Class, however is very close to the limit for - only a few very small items can be combined with this. Over 4 lbs get priority rate.
