These additional services bear the registration number 'Rd664260'.

The fundamental pieces of this Pembury pattern cutlery set, including the original knives, have been crafted by the Sheffield silversmith Mappin & Webb Ltd in 1926, apart from one plain replacement teaspoon which is stamped with sterling to the posterior surface.

The anterior surface of this replacement teaspoon is plain and does not bear the aforementioned engraved initials.

The stainless steel blades to each of the original table and dessert knives bear the maker's mark 'Trustworthy, Mappin & Webb, Sheffield, Stainless'.

This exceptional comprehensive sterling silver service is fitted to the original and impressive cross banded oak wood three drawer canteen table.

Two drawers have vacant and versatile storage compartments to the rear portions.

The box is fitted with original brass drawer handles and supported by four impressive carved cabriole style legs; this box is an impressive piece of furniture in its own right.

* "Straight" means all the pieces are made by the same maker in the same year.

** Pembury pattern was made by only two firms: Mappin & Webb Ltd and Roberts & Doré Ltd.

Condition

This antique flatware service is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Each component has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The presentation table unit has been professionally polished by a cabinet maker.

The original interior is in excellent presentation condition; there is a surface blemish to the storage compartment of one draw, this is not visible until the drawer is removed from the table unit.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each piece are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine and impressive antique canteen.
