Biography
Gegham was born in Armenia in 1962 and grew up to become one of the most celebrated artists of his generation. He received his artistic training under Armen Atayan -- the student of the great Martiros Saryan and Alexander Osmyerkin. After receiving his Master of Arts degree from Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts in 1984, Gegham emerged into the art world with his distinctive style. He is a recognized artist in the global art scene and a member of the Artists Trade Union of the Russian Federation. His works are collected by a virtual list of who's who globally and have found home in private collections and galleries in Germany, France, Australia, Portugal, Italy, Russia, and the United States, to name a few. After moving to the United States in 2004, only a year after, Gegham had his first solo exhibition in Los Angeles at Seyhoun Gallery. Since then, he has been associated with several prestigious galleries in California. Many of his paintings can be found at Collectors and Le Vernissage galleries in Carmel. Gegham continues to reside and work in Southern California with a commitment to continue actively showing his work in diverse exhibitions and galleries throughout the United States as well as internationally.
