Antique Painted Fan Mother of Pearl Framed c1830 French Gilt Design
This fan is coming directly from a wealthy local estate where it held a prominent place in the dining room. The fan must have been important, since it was framed with so much care. Would be a great addition to your collection.
1830s French with a hand-tinted scene and pierced mother of pearl ribs. The scene looks hand painted, but I believe it is just hand-tinted? Very good looking and well made.

Marked on back of frame Kollmar Art Services Inc., which was the local framer.
Condition: Appears that there is a repaired break in the middle of the main mother of pearl support. Some separating along the seams of the paper. Since it has been well framed, all of these issues have been secured and it will ensure no further damage can take place. Has not been inspected out of the frame. I would assume it was framed in the 1980s.
