    Turbo Technics is a United Kindom based engineering company specialising in the manufacture of turbochargers and specialist machinery used in the turbocharger repair industry.

    Based on the T2 turbine assembly, this 360° screwed thrust bearing hybrid turbo for the Land Rover Discovery 300TDi is capable of boosting power up to 140 BHP.

    Hybrid turbochargers combine the quick boost response required at low engine revs, with the extra air-flow capacity needed for more power at higher revs. Hybrid turbochargers are not a new idea, Turbo Technics started producing hybrids as long ago as 1985, and today continues to lead this specialised field.

    Hybrid turbos become necessary when significant performance improvement is required, normally on a modified engine. Most hybrid turbochargers look identical to standard units from the outside. The changes occur inside, by using different aerodynamic configurations, both in the compressor and turbine housings.

    To increase performance, a “360°” thrust bearing is commonly used. This is an entirely new bearing, manufactured by Turbo Technics, and originally developed for competition customers, such as Ford Motorsport. It has a greater bearing contact face to withstand the high loads, which would otherwise destroy a standard bearing very quickly.

    This turbocharger, like all Turbo Technics turbochargers, has been manufactured in England.

    A 12-month warranty is provided with all our turbochargers.

    The manufacturer of this turbocharger specifies that you must replace the oil feed pipe. 

    The product warranty is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of receiving the order and covers against manufacturer's defect under normal use. In the rare case your turbocharger does not function properly due to a manufacturing quality issue, Speedup Autoparts will repair it or replace it free of charge, depending on the specific circumstances.

    Please note: professional installation by a qualified workshop / mechanic is required. 

    We understand some customers do wish to fit the turbocharger themselves; however the warranty does not cover amateur or home installations, nor damage resulting from improper installation and modifications. 

    We cannot accept any warranty claims without evidence of professional installation or evidence the oil feed pipe has been replaced.
