The Audio Encyclopedia is both an extensive reference work and a detailed textbook: it provides the necessary theoretical basis for all fields of modern audio studio technology, clearly presented and with 715 illustrations and 145 tables. Practical examples and numerous cross references make it easy to access the individual topics, both for those in training and for practitioners in broadly scattered areas of application in private and public media, in film, advertising and music production. Andreas Friesecke has worked in the field of audio technology since 1992 and has been a lecturer since 1993 at the SAE Institute, an international institution in Munich for media studies in the fields of audio technology, multimedia, digital film, 3D animation and game design.
