Zildjian formerly described 13" K Mastersounds as:

"Possessed of the same deep, dark, warm, low-pitched tonal characteristics associated with K Zildjians. But featuring the distinctive fast, clean Mastersound "chick".

These Mastersounds have all the Ultra Crisp, Clean, Cutting tone that is usually associated with Paiste Sound Edge Hats. But they're Zildjians. 

AND they're Ks...

Which means they're warm, slightly darker, and have a great overall musicality to them. Check out the bottom cymbal. The last .5" is UNLATHED and scalloped to deliver a clean, bone-crunching "CHICK." The tone is CRISP and WARM and they project like a dream. And that's a great combo.
