With their vintage vibe , FrankenTone Chester's are exceptionally lively, clear, and fantastically touch-sensitive. A retro styled single coil with 1/4" Alnico V polepieces and nickel plated steel screws that though don't adjust the height of the poles, can be adjusted to tweak string balance.

While our surface mount Chester pickups have been very popular we realize that they don't easily fit on all guitars. Now with the Lil' Chester you get the same pickup mounted in a mini humbucker sized shell making them a breeze to fit in a full sized humbucker equipped guitar, one with Firebird minis, mini humbuckers or even this version that fits into all guitars loaded with P90 Soapbars!
