About Brewer's Yeast
After an extensive world-wide search, Lewis Laboratories has finally found a High Quality 100% Pure Yeast Flakes. We all know how nutrients in vegetables and fruits vary depending on the soil they're grown on. Golden Gravy Recipe

  • 2 oz. Lewis Labs Brewer's Yeast Flakes
  • 1 oz. whole grain flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 pint water
  • 2-3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Toast the Lewis Labs Brewer's Yeast Flakes and flour. Add the oil and whisk while it bubbles and turns golden brown. Add water, still stirring, until it thickens. Stir in soy sauce and pepper. Makes approximately 1/2 pint. Variation: Stir in sautéed onions or mushrooms.

Brewer's yeast is one of the most perfect foods known.  Loaded with proteins, minerals and vitamins, it is amazing how much food value is packed into even a small amount. It provides the protein you want without the extra calories and cholesterol you don't. Since it is low in fat, carbohydrates, sodium and calories, it is especially useful for dieters, vegetarians, diabetics and hypoglycemics. The microscopic plant, saccharomyces cerevisiae, commonly referred to as brewer's yeast, is nutritionally superior to all other types of yeast. It is one of the best natural sources of the entire B-Vitamin complex. Lewis Labs' supplier originally said it had no Chromium. They did their own testing and the Lab has found from 1 to 6 mcg in two samples - they are continuing to test as each batch arrives. At the time the label was done they went with 1% to be conservative because they had only 2 sample results and they varied. After they get more test results indications may be that they can raise it to as much as 10% (7 mcg/25mg).

Brewer's yeast is not related to Candida albicans fungus, which causes yeast infection.

  Cold-Pack Service

  We  offer a free cold pack service to insure the quality and potency of  certain temperature sensitive products. When you see the image below on  an item's detail page, it indicates that item will ship with cold pack  service and we recommend you choose an expedited shipping method.

  

  You  may also opt to include cold-pack service with your order by purchasing  a Cold-Pack. During the hotter months in order to insure the safety and  integrity of certain heat sensitive products and prevent melting,  deterioration or rancidity, it may require we pack product with  freeze-paks.  We recommend purchasing the Cold-Pack service with your  order. We may also choose not to ship the product if the weekend will  delay final arrival. Refunds & Exchanges
 


Unopened  items can be returned or exchanged for any reason. Simply send the  items back to us within 30 days of receipt and we will refund your money  or exchange your product. When we receive your package we will credit  the card you paid us with for the full purchase price of your product  minus any shipping fees.

  

  We  apologize, but because of product shelf life products returned after 30  days will have a 20% restocking fee. We are not able to accept returns  on products after 45 days. Additionally, if you are returning/exchanging  a quantity of 12 or more of the same item there will be a 15%  restocking fee due to inventory control and product shelf life.

  

  In the event of returning a free shipping item there is a mandatory deduction of $5.95 from your total refund.
