You are bidding on a VW air cooled 1641cc engine rebuild kit. When it comes to engine kit ads, most companies say, Don’t tell, don’t ask. So then if you really want the best engine kit available, you need to ask yourself, what am I getting for the money? If I tried to save you a dollar and sold you the so called advertised “100% all new” cast Mexican or Brazilian crankshaft or even a new China forged crankshaft instead of a genuine VW German forged crankshaft, do you think I would be doing you any favors? Why take chances with cheap junk and risk a motor coming apart to save a buck? I wouldn’t use cheap junk in my own motor, why would I want to sell it to you. Unlike our competitors, we do not use China crankshafts and will only use China pistons if Mahle pistons are no longer available. Due to the shortage of genuine Mahle pistons and cylinders, we are now selling AA China pistons and cylinders. We will still offer an optional Mahle upgrade when available but the selection is getting slim. We still use high quality German cranks and will always suggest Mahle pistons when available. Mahle has a proven track record for quality and has been used extreme performance applications successfully. China pistons are not recommended in turbo and nitrous applications but will be fine in mild performance motors. Our 1641cc (no machining required) engine rebuild kits for VW Volkswagen include new 87mm AA pistons and cylinders (with an upgradable option to Mahle, an additional $100), rings, wrist pins, clips, rebuilt German forged crankshaft, rebuilt German rods, lifters, German rod bearings, German or Silverline cam bearings, pushrod tubes, oil pump, German gland nut, oil screen, Elring engine gasket set, Elring flywheel seal. Main bearings and camshaft are not included. If you know you engine case line bore, I sell the main bearings for $50 additional. German reground cams are $40 additional. Kits sold outright with no exchange. Many options are available including German forged counterweighted cranks, German forged stroker cranks, H beam rods, chromoly gland nuts, forged and graphite coated pistons, etc. Main bearings and camshaft are not included but can be bought separate.You MUST specify 3 rivet or 4 rivet camshaft and single (6mm or 8mm studs) or dual relief engine case to get the correct oil pump. If you have an automatic, you will have to use your old pump. Autostick oil pumps are not available. If you do not specify an oil pump preference when paying in paypal, you will receive option "A".
