Amazing Hippo/ Hippopotamus, garden sculpture. This is the first garden sculpture/ ornament I've ever created, in creating this piece I wanted to create a garden sculpture with much more and also finer detail than you see on most of the garden sculptures you can purchase from garden centres.
I feel that outdoor sculptures should be as detailed as indoor sculptures, and I feel the the lack of detail on a lot if not most of the sculptures in garden centres is very evident. With this in mind I created this Hippo sculpture and will create other highly detailed garden sculptures in the future.
As you can see the Hippo looks great in the pictures, I've taken pictures of the Hippo when it's dry and wet so you can see exactly what the colours are like. when the Hippo is wet it looks even more authentic as real hippo's have a shine to their backs when they are submerged in the water. I've also taken some detailed close ups so you can clearly see the texture and quality finish of this garden sculpture.
The Hippo garden sculpture is cast using concrete mixed with fine grain sand for a smoother finish that can take finer detail from the mould. (Colour may vary)
The approx size is: (length 17") (width 7") (height 3") inches.
