Transform the rear of your E60 5 Series car

BMW E60 5 Series LCI OEM Tail-lights retrofit cables only

Go from the older pre-LCI light (Right) to the new LCI light (Left) in 15 mins

This upgrade is the best thing you can do to make the back of your car stand out.

Offered here is a custom made (non BMW) harness for the lights that will allow you to plug the OEM BMW E60 LCI (post Mar 2007) tail-lights into a BMW pre-LCI (Mar 2003 - Mar 2007) car.

Not only will these cables allow you to connect the new lights on the older cars but will give you the true LCI look on your pre-LCI car as well. So while driving only the LED rods/tubes will be lit but the moment you press the Brake the filament bulbs behind the tubes will lit up. The Turn LEDs work as before and blink at the same rate along with the other Turn indicators in the car.

The version for sale is the POPULAR Special Brake light, Ricky Brake V6.11

The placement of the brake and fog light have been changed to make the LED bars completely visible even when Braking. All features are still retained, just the placement is changed, so this passes MOT without a problem.

This version is professionally made in metal enclosures and is completely solid state with no moving parts or relays. This version will stop the LED lights from Strobing when you start up the car up for about the first 4-5 seconds.

However these cables are made using OEM BMW plugs and connectors to obtain perfect fitment. You will not require any dealer installation or programming. They are completely plug and play, do don't need to cut any wires and the process is completely reversible. You should be able to fit these lights and cables yourself in about 15 mins. These lights will also not give you any iDrive errors and all your current features of the taillights will be retained inc Rear Fog lights, Brake Force Display, Parking Lights etc.

The cables are installed under the lights themselves using custom made mounting brackets (supplied).

Frequently Asked Questions & Answers to them

1. How is your cableset different than the official BMW retrofit kit?

The official BMW retrofit kit is meant for those who want to change both their front and rear lights to the new LCI lights. However in addition to the front and rear lights you will need a new LCM, a cableset, 4 hours of dealer installation and programming. The total cost for the entire kit is in excess of £4K! With my kit you can just do the rear lights and that too on your own.

2. What all do I need to complete this retrofit?

All you need are these cables and a pair of LCI lights. Nothing else is needed, besides the tools to swap the lights ofcourse.

3. How long would it take me to install these cables?

The cables itself will take less than 10 seconds to install because its all plug and play. Installing the lights will take about 15-30 mins depending on your skill level. But that too is very simple because each light is held by just 4 nuts.

4. Do you provide any instructions with this kit?

Instructions are provided, if requested.

5. Are the BMW lights included with this sale?

NO, please see Notice.

6. Is there a difference between the kit for the US cars and the EU cars?

NO, there is no difference in the kit itself but the lights are different, please see Notice.

7. Do you make cables for the E61 Touring version?

Yes I do make cables for the E61 Touring version. Please contact me for details.

8. I've seen other people sell these cables for cheaper, why are your cables so expensive?

I am the original creator of these kits but I am fully aware of the various other versions of kits available. Most of them are copies of my kits or designs. Some only have resistors connected to the wires to avoid the errors but they do not give you the LCI look and the cause the LEDs to Strobe not only on start-up but also while driving! Also my older kits used relays, my latest kits are completely solid state with absolutely no moving parts inside them.
