For your
consideration we are offering this wonderful faux jade figure of Buddha on a
black base. The faux jade is made to resemble 2 toned Jade. The figure is of
Buddha carrying a bag hanging from a decorative stick or rod across his shoulder
and in his other hand he has what appears to be a musical instrument. The
figure is one of a pair I found at a local estate sale. The sticker on the
bottom of the black base is almost worn away. There is only a little of the original
lettering still readable on the sticker. I am not an expert, however; based on
other examples resembling this figure with stickers the figure is probably a
faux jade made in Italy, made for Wony. I do not know the age of this piece. The figure of Buddha has wonderful details.
The figure and base measures approximately 3 & 5/8" tall and the
figures base measures approximately 1 & 3/4" x 1 & 1/2" x
3/4". The figure is in good condition. There is a round white spot on the
side of the Buddha head. I cannot tell what the spot is, there is not a chip
there or a dent. The black base a one top corner with wear and on the same side
also at the top there are some tiny nicks. The base has some minor surface
scratches from wear and use. Along the tied waist line on the front there is
some reddish residue/soil. I do not know if this will wash off or not. This
little gem will make a fine addition to your collection. I take great care in
packaging your purchase. The cost of all packaging materials and handling is
included in the shipping costs. I will try to ship this priority mail if
possible. Thanks for looking, please take a moment to browse our store to view
