If you are replacing your PMD after it has failed (or before as a preventive measure), it is pointless to mount it in the stock location where it WILL fail again sooner or later because of the high heat in that location. It is also a ton of work to remove the intake manifold etc. to get at it.
With this kit, there is no need to remove the intake manifold etc, all you have to do is unplug the old unit, (with the aid of a long thin screwdriver) plug in this extension to the existing harness and plug your brand spanking new PMD into the other end. 10 minutes work!!
You will have just saved yourself a ton of time, effort and cursing (your neighbours and children will also be grateful) , and as a bonus your new PMD will last much longer as it will not be subjected to the heat in the original (OEM) location.
