RARE 1951 Vintage Audio Triodes

 

These new-old-stock tubes have been tested for mutual conductance. On my Hickok TV-7 tester they read 61 and 63. A reading of 38 would represent the minimum recommended value. These new-old-stock Sylvania tubes are from the same 1951 USA military production. These very ruggedized tubes are also marked as 2A3W’s.

 

The 5930 (aka 2A3W) is a power triode for use in receiving, transmitting and audio applications. The 5930 has a T-12 bulb on a wide base. The filament is 2.5 volts at 2.5 amps. These triodes are rare and built to last. The end flap of one box is missing.
