My Game Boy cartridges are professionally cleaned. The pins are cleaned with 91% Isopropyl. This ensures your cartridges start up easily. Cartridges can still take a few goes to get going. I don't recommend the blowing method as you are just leaving your saliva to rust the pins. I recommend cleaning the inside of your Game Boy too.
