Ok, how would you like to see Elvis Presley from the very beginning? That’s right, this DVD contains the very first time Elvis Presley ever appeared on television. So, this DVD is all six television appearances by Elvis Presley on the TV program Stage Show with those famous Dorsey Brothers. This is where music history was made with Elvis Presley making six appearances on their program with the first appearance being January 28, 1956, just twenty days after his 21st birthday. Elvis Presley walked onto the stage on Stage Show to show the entire Country who he was. Now, the technical information. This entire DVD is filmed in black and white and is not a factory pressing. It is made in Region Code 1 for the USA and Canada. Also, this footage is from a long time ago and lighting wasn’t what it is today. So, to be exact, the first two appearances on Stage Show have been digitally re-mastered in black and white and look wonderful. However, for some reason, the company did not re-master the last four episodes so the footage does appear a tad bit grainy. But, this footage is for historical purposes, not the color quality of the broadcast. Also, in the 3 minute music montage of photos of Elvis, after the sixth broadcast, towards the end of the video, there is a small amount of “digital drop out” or what you may call glitches in a few of the photographs. All the DVD’s have this same exact issue so it is from the maker of the disks. It IS NOT a defect in this particular DVD. So, I will NOT take returns on this DVD for “picture quality” or “glitches in the music video” because I have been very upfront about this product. So, simply put, this DVD is a historical piece of music history for you to enjoy viewing the first time Elvis Presley walked onto a stage in front of the television cameras. Now, shipping in the USA is free. For outside the USA you can certainly use the global Shipping Program. If you prefer not to use their services, please tell me where you live BEFORE purchasing the DVD so I can get you a quote for shipping to your particular Country. So, thank you for looking and should you have any questions, feel free to send me a question, as I love talking about Elvis. Thanks a lot.
