George Robert Minkoff, A Bibliography of the Black Sun Press, Great Neck, NY: G.R. Minkoff, 1970. First edition, limited to 1,250 copies. 8.75” x 11.25”, 60 pages including index, black cloth over boards with gilt motif and spine lettering. No jacket as issued.
Helpful bibliography and/or wish list for collectors of this famous small press noted for its fine bindings, limited editions, and storied author list, which included James Joyce, Ezra Pound, Kay Boyle, Hart Crane, D.H. Lawrence, and Archibald MacLeish. It includes Black Sun titles printed before and after Harry Crosby’s suicide as well as an introduction by Caresse Crosby.
A near fine copy with a couple of small shallow dents to the rear board, minor rubbing. No signature, bookplate, writing, or highlighting. Shipped in a box.
Book grading: Fine, Near Fine, Very Good, Good, Fair (F, NF, VG, G, F); a +/- indicates a little better or worse than stated grade. Anything lower than fair is a reading/reference copy only. I try to grade conservatively and be honest about a book's flaws: “in great shape for its age” is not a valid description of condition. I use Fine sparingly.

International Buyers
Unfortunately, USPS raised rates drastically in January 2016. I value my great international customers and do try to keep rates reasonable while ensuring that merchandise is fully protected.
Please use the drop-down menu under the shipping tab to find rates/options to your country. First Class International is generally less expensive than Priority International but tracking is available only to selected countries. Tracking is also not available for Priority International Flat Rate envelopes/small boxes. First Class Int'l has a weight/size limit. If you're bidding on multiple items, especially books, please be aware that the combined weight may exceed First Class limits. I'd be happy to provide you with a shipping estimate.
Customs fees, duties, and VAT are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Please do not ask me to mark your merchandise as a "gift" or to misrepresent its value.
I strive to be fair in grading merchandise and believe that my descriptions and photos accurately reflect each item's condition. Inevitably, I will miss something or, because I'm not an expert, fail to note a detail of interest to collectors. Therefore, I do ask that if you have any questions, or if anything in the listing is unclear, please ask before bidding. I will happily answer any queries or send additional photos.
