GPU/CPU repasted 2016(cant remember what month) new silicone pads applied to memory of GPU, Metallic tape applied to fins of heatsink radiator to direct airflow better(interior) as the 7970m has a high TDP and cooling is essential(I'm a tinkerer).
PremaMOD Bios allows toggling full fan speed "FN+9". It also allows you to place newer graphics cards in machine(prema has
vBIOS up to 980m, if you care to research and compare to see what works for you).Believe he also has older cards archived upon request, you can inquire with him to confirm.
