And because I love you, you can hear this cymbal before you buy it!!!

$334.00!! That is how much a new Paiste NOVO 20" China will set you back! And that's the Guaranteed Lowest price too!

Fortunately there is simply NO NEED to spend ALL of that $334...and you don't have to sacrifice one OUNCE of PAISTE TONE either!

And this beauty is from the first few years of the RED LABEL--1983!!

As far as NOVO Chinas go, this 35 year old beauty is

MEEEEEEEEEELLLLLooooooOOOooOooooOoOooOOOOOwwwWWWWwwww!

Those earlier 2002s definitely have a different vibe to them--mellower, darker, and more EXOTIC sounding.

Offered for your immense pleasure this Top of the Line 1983 Paiste 2002 20" NOVO CHINA that is in EXCELLENT Condition. Check out the pictures! There are

NO

Nicks, cracks, dings, or dents on this Inverted 20"! It's in GREAT SHAPE with a hell of a nice patina that has befriended it and definitely MELLOWS out the tone.

Many people immediately think of Zildjian when they hear the word "cymbal." However Paiste has been at the vanguard of cymbal inventions for decades. Examples of their creative spirit include the flat ride (yes Paiste was first) the unlathed but hammered RUDE series, and this inverted NOVO China. (If you know of more please write.)

Paiste describes this cymbal as:

"Very bright, slightly trashy, full, exotic. Wide range, complex mix. Fast, responsive, explosive crash, loud, clear defined bell. Very unique, versatile china for flexible application."

However I would add that this specific 1983 20" is definitely on the DARKER side, this is a not a "very bright" cymbal.  But it sure as hell is EXOTIC.

What's makes the Novo China unique is that while all other Chinas have a flanged edge that curves upwards, the Novo has a flanged edge that curves DOWNWARDS. Hence you don't have to hang it "upside down." In addition, the bell is graduated or dome shaped-unlike Paiste's traditional vertical bell they use on their China's.

Below is a soundfile of the exact cymbal for sale:

Another endearing quality this 20" NOVO has is its medium-thin weight...only 1728 grams. The pitch of this inverted gem is LOW and the tone is exotic and fairly mellow-but not trashy like a Traditional or a Wuhan. The sustain is medium. When crashed upon hard, this NOVO does have an aggressive attack.

It slices. However as mentioned, it does have a MELLOWNESS to it that is perfect for medium low volume settings.

You can use this 20" Paiste NOVO 2002 China on anything you want. Rock, funk, blues, fusion, blusion, reggae, country, certainly recordings, and anytime you need a great med-thin MELLOW Paiste China, that does CUT when hit aggressively.

$334.00?

There's simply NO NEED!!! SAVE MONEY!!!

So do yourself a favor and grab this 1728 gram EARLY RED LABEL 1983 INVERTED PAISTE 2002 20" NOVO China.
