Avia Ladies 'Cocktail' Mechanical Wind Bracelet Watch

In great cosmetic condition with just a little 'rubbing' to the side of the case commensurate with age but not too bad at all. The bracelet looks like snake skin and very shiny (photos do not do it justice!) and does fasten fine but may well need a little tightening as the clasp is very slightly loose. It will fit approx 7.25 inch wrist. I would date this watch to the late 60's to 70's judging by the stick markers on the dial. If anyone can tell me I would be very grateful to know.

Wind and sets very well keeping good time over 24 hr period.

I can't say the case is gold plated as there are no gold marks but the markings on the clasp read Amerikana A*D and 'Metal'. After some research I have found the following information on the Amerikana A*D mark.

Signed Amerikana, AD and with a star, which stands for Andreas Daub (A*D).

AD was a young goldsmith from Pforzheim, Germany. He laid the foundation stone of one of the World’s most important jewellery manufacturing companies. At the beginning of the last century A*D was already one of the leading manufacturers of jewellery in Europe. They made legendary watch chains and fabulous Art Nouveau collections as well as double gold-plated jewellery produced in Germany for the first time. They are still in production today.

Thanks for looking and any questions please ask.
