ITEM DESCRIPTION: This piece is a very rare and incredible large sterling and enamel vinaigrette. The top features a man cherub embracing a young woman with a blue background enamel. The lid lifts to reveal a beautiful engraved grill. The silver box portion has raised garlands around the sides. The piece is quite exceptional!
AGE: C-1870-1900
CONDITION: Excellent antique condition. No damage to the enamel. There is a split in the grill as shown in the photos. Also, the lid will close but wants to pop back open. These are the only two small issues I could find in this amazing piece.
SIZE: Measures 1-7/8" across and 2-1/2" long.
MARKS: Sterling Silver, 930 and I believe a makers mark I cannot quite make out.
