Founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre. The name
Jaeger-LeCoultre only appeared in 1937. JLC is one of the few manufactures of
Switzerland. This means that they conceived and constructed their own movements
from scratch, without using third party ebauches. They have an impressive
history building incredible iconic watches like the Reverso, the Memovox, the
Atmos, etc.

Inside
the watch:
Swiss made, high quality, Jaeger Le
Coultre caliber 463.A movement
Service history:
In August of 2015
the watch was serviced:
1 - the case was
chromium re-plated.
2 - the crystal was
replaced since the one that was with the watch was dull and yellow.
3 - The movement
was subject to a CLA job.
4 - Both the dial
and hands received new tritium, old (yellowed) style
For those of you who might
not know what a C.L.A. job means, it involves the disassembling of the watch
mechanism and having it cleaned in a specific machine with special liquids to
remove dry oil and dirt. Afterwards the movement is lubricated with the proper oils
and adjusted after being tested in a vibrograf machine.
In practical terms it means that you can use the watch every day
without fear that the lack of lubrication wears the movement pieces.
Working condition:
1 - Working very well. Runs very strong.
2- Time setting is smooth
3 - winding is smooth.
To get you a clearer picture of how the watch will behave, I do the
following home testing: I manually wind the watch, even if the watch has
automatic wind, and test it against a watch that I know is correct. For this I
purpose I use a web page that provides the exact time. I check the deviation
after 12 and 24 hours. The results for this
watch after 12 hours: +16s After 24 hours: +37 seconds
This home test is not a warranty of repeatability or accuracy. Actually
wearing the watch in the pulse will get you different results for sure.
No
matter how good the test results may look, the watch is sold as is, without any
sort of warranty.
Like your car and like all mechanical watches, it will need periodical
maintenance in the future.
Please
note:
1 - The
watch should not be used in the water! All diving watches, even recent, should
be sent for a qualified water sealing service each year prior to diving season.
2 - Any acrylic or metallic display that
might appear in the pictures is not included in the sale!

Condition:
Please refer to the pictures for a
complete perception of the item’s condition. This will be more precise and
effective than my eyesight or judgment.
All pictures are of the actual
item. Photos are not retouched or edited to mask defects. Please take time to enlarge the all the
photos for the clearest, largest images. Photos usually disclose the condition
much better than a written description as many people have a different idea on
what words or terms may mean. If an identifying mark or defect is visible on
the photo it is considered disclosed to the buyer.
Please remember
that seeing the item at very high magnification, as in the pictures that I
provide, brings to life small defects that the human eye does not perceive.
If you don’t see it in the pictures and it is not mentioned in the
description, then it is not included in the auction!
I aim to
provide as much details concerning the auction as possible, because I feel that
from a buyer's standpoint there is nothing more uncomfortable than unpleasant
surprises.
International Buyers - important

the European Community so there are no taxes for countries inside the European
Community.

are the buyer's responsibility and are
normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you
pick the item up. Do not confuse them with additional shipping
charges. Please note that if the item is returned to me because the buyer
refused to pay taxes or didn't take any necessary action, the total cost of
shipping will be deducted from the refund.
3 - I
advise you to check with your country's customs office to determine what these
additional costs will be prior to bidding.
4 - Before bidding, make certain that the item
offered in this auction does not in any way violate international laws, customs

Registered
Shipping by CTT
Please read
this as it gives you detailed information concerning shipping, insurance, tracking
and time to arrive to your country.
Insurance
for loss is included at a cost of 2% of item's value. Insurance will be
provided by a third party, not by the post, since I could not find a courier
that insures collectibles, precious objects and watches.
Registered shipping (requiring your
signature upon reception) can be tracked in the Portuguese Post website (they
have an English version) and after a few days, after the item arrival at your
country, or in some countries before that, you can track it in your country's
official Post. Tracking is not accessible by clicking in the tracking number in
the eBay page. An exception to this is the USA and Canada
but you will have to wait for me to upload the USPS tracking number, which will
take a few days after the item is sent.
For instance, if you are in the USA you can track it in the USPS website, and if you are in the UK you will track it in the Royal Post; in Spain
you can track it in www.correos.es; in France you can track it in La Poste
Please remember that the tracking number must
be tracked in these websites, meaning that you have to copy paste the number in
the appropriate place in the website.
Some countries might not provide the
tracking feature. Please check with your country postal office beforehand as I
cannot have this information. In any case the shipping can be always be traced
if anything goes wrong.
You will be
able to track the shipping at:
Or try the following link
to the English page of the CTT website, or copy paste this address to your web
browser:

Important
note concerning expected time of arrival: under normal circunstances, in the European Community zone, the package is due to arrive in five to seven business days. Outside the Euro countries it will take considerably more days due to longer distance, grouping
of parcels and customs bureaucracy. Usually 26 to 35 days, a few times less
than that, depending of your country.
Packing ($2 USD) + registered shipping with reception
notice ($15 USD), plus insurance at 2% of item’s value ($25 USD), to Europe:
$42 USD
Packing ($2 USD) + registered shipping
with reception notice ($20 USD), plus insurance at 2% of item’s value ($25
USD), to the rest of the world: $47 USD
A
scan of the post receipt will be at your disposal, should you ask. The cost of
insurance will not be shown in the post receipt. Neither the cost of packing.
Expedited shipping
Do you want to receive your item faster? If you do I can send it to you
very fast but the cost is considerably higher.
Insurance, at
2% of item's value, will be optional, it is up for you to decide. You will
receive the invoice with insurance adjusted to the value of the item but if you
don't want to pay for insurance you just have to ask for it and a new invoice
will be sent to you. This is valid for expedited shipping only.
1 - Please note that shipping costs include safe and careful packing.
2 - Combined shipping will be applied on
purchase invoices. This means that you would not pay shipping for each item
although the cost of shipping will increase, because the cost of shipping is,
of course, weight related.
3 - If you have an account with UPS, FEDEX,
DHL or with any other similar company that operates in Portugal and want them
to pick up the item for you, I will be glad to act according to your
instructions. In this case you won’t be charged anything for shipping, not even
packing. Insurance is up to you but all of this must be specified in the PayPal payment clearly.
By buying or making an offer you agree with all that is stated above.
Please don't buy it if you don't agree with
everything or if you disagree with something
that is stated, thanks!
