All parts used to build our holsters were chosen for their long lasting durability. We order our parts in very large quantities to ensure that our price point stays low. We use 10 oz. California latigo leather hide. We taper cut our leather under the grip to ensure a full confident grip is possible before you remove your weapon. Spring Steel belt clips are the best option for concealed carry holsters. The clips are fully adjustable up-and-down to ensure ride height to your satisfaction. Spring Steel clips offer the best retention with or without a belt, and will keep their shape and tension for many years. We use steel Philips head and flat head screws. Our holsters ship with these screws facing either north or south. This allows for a quick inspection of your holster. Using these common screw heads is far more field friendly then Allen head screws. We do not use pop rivets because if they start to come loose you are unable to tighten them. We used .080 Kydex form around the pistol. This allows for a positive click when you holster your pistol, giving you the confidence to know your pistol will remain securely in place until the moment the need it.
INSIDE THE WAISTBAND (IWB) HOLSTER OVERVIEW
The IWB or inside the waistband holster is quickly becoming one of the most popular ways for the armed citizen to carry concealed comfortably. The hybrid style holster blends the best of both kydex and leather together allowing their strengths to shine while eliminating their weakness. A full leather holster while having a nice appearance is unnecessarily thick. The thickness is required to allow for good form around the pistol and to prevent the leather from closing when the pistol is upholstered. While Kydex is thinner and much lighter it lacks in the comfort department as it does not flex well. Also Kydex is a plastic so it does not absorb moisture like leather can. Both materials are very low maintenance and long lasting with minimal care or upkeep. Now when they are combined with leather on the inside against the skin to provide a soft pliable surface that absorbs and pulls sweat from the body preventing it from pooling, and a Kydex outer shell, strong, stiff, and thin gives a positive click when pistol is placed in allowing you to have the best combination of holster that allows you to carry in comfort at all times.
HOW FAST IS IT TO DRAW FROM IWB
As we have gone over there are several ways to carry. This method of carry, IWB at the 4 o'clock position is one of the fastest ways when carrying concealed. It is also on the way to your side and back pockets allowing for the element of surprise. Remember you were not picked because the thug knew you were armed. Lifting your shirt either tucked in or not does not add significant time to your draw. With practice you can easily achieve really respectable times even having to lift your shirt.
