Here's another note on shipping: I enter dimensions and weight on Ebay's listing engine. Ebay then gives you the price for shipping via Fedex, UPS, or USPS. The dimensions for shipping this package are 24 x 16 x 12", and the weight is 8 pounds. Ebay will show a price to the East Coast (eg zip code 10011) that is $73 or so. If you go to Fedex.com, enter my shipping zip code of 93940 and the same zip code to the East Coast (be sure to enter "residential", deliver to Fedex office, $0 insured value) then you will probably get a price around $48.
I don't know why Ebay has such an inflated charge for Fedex Home Delivery compared to the retail price given at fedex.com -- but know that the shipping price you see on Ebay for shipping to the East Coast is around $25 more than it actually is. If you buy this item and let me know the retail price on fedex.com, I will happily refund the excess shipping cost that you paid. I will have to go onto fedex.com myself to confirm any charges, for instance, Fedex charges $3.45 for residential deliveries, and $6 and up for deliveries to rural areas. If you buy this item and notify me, I will go onto fedex.com, confirm your shipping rate or tell you the cost, and refund you any excess over the Fedex retail rate. If you are unhappy at that point, we can cancel the sale and I will refund your money immediately.
I wish that I could simply specify shipping rates, and USPS rates are indeed correct. But Fedex and UPS rates to the West Coast versus the East Coast differ by $25 for large packages like this. And Ebay is giving out inflated rates for UPS and Fedex, as far as I can tell.
