For your consideration is a stunning SOLID SILVER STAMP, in rare MINT condition, based on the original issued within SWITZERLAND during c1843. This beautifully crafted "DOUBLE GENEVA", exacted to the finest exquisite detail and measuring 14mm x 8mm, is one of the greatest stamps of the world and a wonderful collectors item or gift for a STAMP or SILVER enthusiast. The "Double Geneva" shows the coat of arms of the town of Geneva in black-on-apple-green paper, with the inscriptions Poste de Geneve above and Port Local below. Since the coat of arms incorporates an eagle, collectors of bird stamps consider this the first of many stamps to depict birds in their designs. In 1983, an unused example was valued at $60,000 while a used specimen was valued at $50,000.

The stamp weighs between 1-2 grammes and is shown next to a £1 coin for an idea of scale.
