Peugeot PY10 EC Super Competition 1976

Condition

A top of the range and truly stunning machine with all original components. The frame is straight, there are no dents whatsoever and the wheels run smooth and true. The paintwork shows signs of age but overall in decent condition and in keeping with a bicycle of this era. It's undergone a service which included new brake and gear cables and the front hub has been stripped down, greased and correctly tensioned. Both tyres have just been replaced with new Vittoria tubulars (after these photos were taken) but the original front (Champion) was in great condition and will come as a spare. The new tyres look identical to the ones pictured (tan sidewalls). If you're not a fan of tubulars then I have a mavic wheelset (G40 rims) in excellent condition with new veloflex clincher tyres (700x23 with tan sidewall) as an alternative. However, ideally the original wheelset should stay with this bike. The only negative to highlight are the Mafac brake levers which are a little scuffed and the gum hoods are on the fragile side so it may be worth looking out for some replacements. Also please note that the original and matching front quick release will be installed instead of the safety skewer currently fitted. This bike is immensely fast and responsive, a real joy to ride.
