Intel Pentium 4 3067 MHz Socket 478 desktop CPU SL6SM 512/533

Here is a Socket 478 CPU single-core desktop CPU from Intel running at 3.06 GHz.  It uses a 533 MHz front side bus.   This one has Intel's "Nortwood B" core, and is the fastest CPU for a socket 478 desktop which can't handle an 800 MHz front side bus or the extra cache memory of a "Prescott" CPU.  As such, it is still in demand as an upgrade CPU from a Celeron or something like a 2.26 or 2.4  GHz Pentium 4.

It uses 130 nanometer traces, a core voltage of 1.525V and draws up to 68.4 watts of power.  It includes 512KB of L2 cache running at the processor's full speed.  It also supports Intel's Hyperthreading Technology

This CPU is not compatible with all socket 478 systems, so please check your system documentation for compatibility.  It may not upgrade a system which originally had a Pentium 4 or Celeron running at 2.0 GHz or less.  Support for 533 MHz FSB is the key.

This CPU is the fastest Pentium 4 for systems with an Intel 845 chipset, which can not use a Prescott Pentium 4 with 1MB cache.  (Examples of such systems include Dell Dimension 2400, Dell Optiplex GX260, and HP/Compaq Evo d510).  As such, it remains in high demand more than 14 years after it first came to market.

Also, note that you are purchasing only the CPU as pictured here (but not the exact one).  A heatsink and a fan are required but not included with this item.

Your CPU will arrive working and packaged safely.
