And because I love you, you can hear this cymbal before you buy it!!!

Here's AN ULTRA RARE FAMOUS PAISTE...

AN AMAZING SOUNDING 602!!

Sure you can spend $500 on e new "Re-issue" Paiste 602 Flat Ride.

But that of course will be for the 20"! For you see, Paiste hasn't offered the 18" for YEARS!!!

And that sucks because the 18" is actually VERY MELLOW and CONTROLLED both in volume and overtones! More so than the larger 20" brother.

And of course the Vintage Paiste 602 18" Flat Ride was immortalized in the famous "No He Sings, No He Sobs" Roy Haynes SOUND!!

Posted for your immense delight is this RARE and definitely No Longer Made 1981 Paiste B20 Alloy BLUE LABEL 602 18" FLAT RIDE MEDIUM Cymbal that is in EXCELLENT Condition.

Check out the pictures!

Remarkably there are

NO

nicks, dents, dings, or cracks, on this 36 year old Paiste.  It's in GREAT SHAPE with a very light patina that has befriended it.

It's in TERRIFIC SHAPE!! Check out the close-ups! Overall pretty darn clean for a 36 year old Paiste!

And check out the craftsmanship on this beauty--beautiful hammering!

Below is a soundfile of the exact cymbal for sale:

Listen to the soundfile here!

Weighing in at a lovely 1714 grams, this Rare Paiste plays like a Classic Blue Label Medium Flat Ride. The edges are slightly BENDABLE. The stick definition is EXTREMELY strong--compliments of the absence of a bell AND the Medium weight.  The overall vibe is SMOOTH, SHIMMERING AND GLASSY, and definitely MELLOW (just like the recording) .....Being a Paiste 602 Flat Ride, the ensuing wash is shimmering, subtle and controlled, and the edges wobbles.

And this 18" would be a GREAT candidate for rivets if you're so inclined!! Although it sounds amazing as is!

You can use this Rare Paiste 602 Medium Flat 18" for whatever your heart's content. Use it anytime you need a shimmering, MELLOW 602 Ride with terrific definition and a controlled wash. Perfect for jazz, funk, fusion, world music, all around Roy Haynes-ing or as an alternate ride for mellow pop and rock.

Whatever you decide, do yourself a favor and grab this RARE B20 Alloy 1981 BLUE LABEL Paiste 602 MEDIUM FLAT 18" Ride Cymbal.

$500 for the "Re-issue"?  Why not get the the ACTUAL ORIGINAL VINTAGE ONE!!

And hang onto it...
