£1,100 Dolce & Gabbana D&G Lamb Nubuck Retro Leather Jacket – 42” (52) XL

My recent auctions are breaking my heart as I took so long to source the items and love them dearly - but I never wear them and will be emigrating to the Caribbean mid 2017 so can't justify keeping them. All my clothes were bought for me to wear and are 100% genuine, proven by the fact that they are all my size only. I imported all of them from either Milan, Italy or the USA (you cannot find such high end items in the UK) and I paid full retail price plus costly import duties. Money was no object so I almost always bought exclusive catwalk items or Black Label, Prima Linea garments (the best of the best).

This is a very rare and unusual Dolce & Gabbana retro nubuck leather jacket – a modern design but made to look vintage. It cost me £1,100 and I've never seen another like it. It is made from the softest and lightest of skins and is the most beautifully designed leather jacket I have seen in my life – I own Versace, Gucci and Armani leather jackets and NONE are as eye catching as this! When released, I used to have a photo of this jacket being modelled on the Milan catwalks, but discarded it as I never thought I’d sell the jacket.

Dolce & Gabbana must be the best of all the great names - a brand world renowned for their stylish street wear, ultra fashionable and very modern look. Some Armani can look like it’s been made for kids… some Gucci looks like its been designed for the over 60’s – but Dolce&Gabbana appeals to all… a name synonymous with the most trendy and fashion conscious people in the world!

I have circa 7 jackets from all the top makers and didn’t want another; but when I went into the Dolce & Gabbana boutique I saw this and once I tried it on, I simply had to have it!! One can immiediatly see that the detail, the workmanship and the quality of the lambs leather is the best of the best.

I brought this jacket a few years ago and I have worn it but as I have so many others, I didn’t wear it every day. But it does have signs of wear but they fit and are in keeping with the ‘vintage look’ that D&G designed into it. However, there are no stains, tears or marks etc. on outside. This jacket is not lined by design, so there are some marks on the suede inside as that’s unavoidable. It’s always been hung on a padded hanger, stored in air conditioned wardrobe and never worn in bad weather. I’d describe it as ‘very good condition’, but please do not expect a perfect or ‘as new’ item. About a year ago I had it professionally cleaned, ‘nourished’ and water proofed by a specialist (cost £109).

The jacket is made of very thin soft nubuck (inbetween leather and suede). It’s not glossy and shiny like leather and is much more of a matt sheen. The colour is amazing! It’s a very slightly distressed tan colour. And multiple, very dark brown leather (not suede) stripes go from the top of the jacket to the bottom all down front, back and around the zips down the front and on cuffs.

This breaks up the tan colour of the jacket and provides a super contrast between the two colours and different types of leather. Dolce & Gabbana also used bright red thread to sew the dark brown leather strips to the tan colour base suede/leather. And they used a mix or bright red and tan colour threads on other parts of the jacket too. And the end result of these mirage of three different colours, is breathtaking!

One of the other nice parts of the jacket is the huge “D&G Dolce & Gabbana” logo on the outside rear right of the jacket. It’s very large and noticeable – so everyone is well aware that you're wearing an extremely expensive designer item! This logo plate is cut out in leather and accentuated in different colours. Sometimes with other high end jackets, others never really appreciate what you're wearing… is it from the cat walks of Milan… or from Marks & Spencers? But there will be no misunderstandings with this item due to the logo so prominently on the outside.

This is a really eye catching jacket. Supremely retro and a modern ‘vintage’, and sort of ‘street’… but amazingly trendy. It’s very different to run of the mill £1,100 jackets one sees! Out of all my jackets, this one has been the most complimented and commented on, from friends and even my tailor.

It is tagged ”XXL” but its NOT an XXL!! It’s fitted and would ideally suit a man with a 42” chest but it would also fit a 40” chest too. I feel a size 44 man may find this a little to slim even though it’s tagged for that size. It’s really comfortable too simply because it’s so ultra soft and light.

It measures 22” from one arm pit to other, the sleeves are 27” and the measurement from the top of one shoulder seam to other across back is 19.5”. Finally the total length of the jacket is 28”. Waist high. The jacket has two side pockets and the centre zip is a large, robust one with D&G embossed on it. The sleeves also have a logo zip on each – all zips are accentuated with the dark brown leather strips and red thread.

I really don’t want to sell the jacket but I don’t wear it enough to justify keeping it. Other sellers are asking around £900 for D&G jackets that are FAR inferior to mine! And the retro, vintage design certainly makes mine more desirable - but I'm a private seller and money isn’t my main objective and so I'm listing the jacket at a really bargain price.

For reassurance, please see my 100% feedback that includes recently sold, very high end clothes. And do look at the other unique designer items that I have for sale (including another jacket) and follow me as I will be selling many more of my exclusive items over the following months.

Thanks for looking.
