Vintage HCL Convertible Bag No. 276975 embossed in front plaque
All-over black monogram logo print on deep brown leather with black accents & piping.
I believe this to be 1980s vintage
Catalog info found on Google: all hardware
is 24k gold plated & each is individually numbered. All items are lined in a
light colored pig suede.
Features
Plaque to front with id number, engraved with corner screws
Hand held or removable shoulder strap
Flap close with turnlock.
Zipper pocket under flap to back exterior.
Inside is suede divided in two by a zipper pocket. Rear open pocket has a leather edged open pocket.

Handle end to end 7, drop 2
Strap at mid-point adjustment, end to end 45, drop 22
Exterior zipper at back 6
Condition
Leather is soft, supple & without cuts or holes, freshly conditioned
Exterior piping is sound with faint color lightening at corners
All stitching is sound
Hardware works well
No odor inside our out
Minor wear fade to gold-tone hardware finish with light surface scratches
Light discoloration, normal soil & ink marks to suede interior
Shoulder strap not original - replaced with adjustable & removable matching grain black strap, gold-tone hardware
Metal & leather hand strap base is sound, though on close-up it appears a bit lifted up due to leather give. See close-up last photo.
Under flap, bottom of turnlock base plate missing one screw - it is sound, as top side has 4 screws in place. Left side of photo 11.
