DAMIANA LEAF, Botanical name: Turnera aphrodisiaca is widely used as Health Care Tea for Herbal Remedy in Herbal medicine, Naturopathic medicin and Holistic medicine. Its sometimes in our best interest to use Herbs instead of usual medicines.
Common Names: Damiane, oreganillo, the bourrique, Mexican damiana, Mexican holly, damiana de Guerrero, damina
Habitat: Damiana is a small shrub with aromatic leaves that grows in Mexico, Central and South America, and the West Indies.
Although its still found in the wild in certain areas, most of the damiana used in herbal remedies today comes from Mexican and Latin American herb ranches.
Plant Description: A small shrub; leaves smooth and pale green on upper side, underneath glabrous, with a few hairs on the ribs, ovolanceolate, shortly petiolate with two small glands at base; flowers yellow, rising singly from axils of the leaves, capsule one-celled splitting into three pieces; smell aromatic, taste characteristic, bitterish, aromatic and resinous.
The leaves contain substances like essential oil, resins, tannins, starch, arbutin, barterin and a bitter substance known as damianin.
Damiana has been shown to help boost energy and reduce the effects of exhaustion.

OUR DRIED HERBS
The most of our Dried Herbs and Spices are Wild crafted and some of them are Organically grown, and Naturally Dried.Naturally Dried means these products have not gone through any machinery in order to extract the moisture.
Organic means the plants have been grown by natural means on unpolluted land without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. They have not been fumigated, irradiated, sulphured,bleached or genetically altered.
Wild crafted means that they have been picked from their wild or natural setting, and are not cultivated. They are grown in their natural environment without human intervention. All of our Wildcrafted products are harvested by the companies we buy from in a conscientious manner following the standard Wild crafted guidelines.
All dried herbs and spices are packed in clear paper bags. According to the requirements for the storage and packaging of herbs and herbal tea, GIFT FROM NATURE cares about its customers as packaged herbs and herbal mixtures in opaque paper envelopes - special paper PAP 22 for nutritional purposes in accordance with BS EN 26590-1. Thus, the herbs are kept in the best possible way - no contact with light and moisture, with the ability to breathe through the paper. Since light oxidized active ingredients in the herbs is disadvantageous herbs to be stored in plastic bags. We advise that they be kept from sunlight, heat and extreme temperature changes.
Upon your request, we will gladly provide you with a copy of a Certificate of Compliance from the companies we have purchased that particular product from. These documents will be emailed to you.
Our herbs and spices are the freshest you can possibly receive. We only order small amounts from our companies as we do not want to have any sitting around for any length of time before they reach you. We may at some point need to order more of a certain herb/spice and have it delivered to us prior to mailing to you. With this in mind, please be aware that you may need to wait up to 1 week for them to be shipped due to you.
Herbs and spices do not generally spoil, but they do lose some potency over time, which is why we offer the sizes we do. How they are stored will play a large role in how long they retain their potency. They should be kept in paper bags, in a cool, dark, dry place. Whole herbs can last up to 3 years, cut and sifted or ground will last up to 2 years.

Are the pictures of our products what You will be receiving?No they are not. Characteristics such as the color vary from lot to lot. Several factors for this include: the time of year the product was harvested, the climate and growing conditions, the harvesting process, which company we ordered the last batch from. Also affecting this is the resolution of the photos on individual computers.
Rest assured though that all of our products are Organic or Wildcrafted, as fresh as possible, and the best you can get.
