Authentic Herman Miller rosewood Eames lounge and ottoman chair wood set.

Manufacturing date is January 18th 1979. All clips/snaps and name plates. This is the oiled version of the rosewood meaning that every six months you must put linseed oil on them to protect and restore their luster. Oiled panels are an addition $1000 onto the cost of the chair on the Herman Miller website. This is because they finish the oiled panels by hand at Herman Miller versus just clear coat spraying other woods.

As you can see from the photo someone in the last forty years modified this chair so that the shock mounts would not fail (as these chairs are prone to) and forever break/ruin the chair. They placed 8 black chicago screws through the rosewood, shock mount and angle bracket.

Included in the auction is two of two of the modified angle plates, and three of the four modified shock mounts. However, no Chicago screws are included as they were rusted and can easily be purchased online for less than $10. A replacement shockmount set is also about $30, but you'll have to drill a hole in it to fit in a Chicago screw.

Alternatively, if you want to plug the holes you can watch multiple YouTube videos on how it's done and this imperfection can be fixed permanently. However, I like the fact that I know my $6000 chair won't break one day; so I'd personally keep the Chicago screws.

Items will be professionally packaged in a huge box with lots of bubble wrap and packing materials no expensive will be spared to protect these panels in transit.

For international shipping, if you pay actual shipping then I'll ship it. I added international shipping to the auction, and it'll estimate the cost but it's too high.

The package is 27x27x16 and weights 25lbs. I will insure it for $1000. I can ship via shipnex and you can get a quote on their website from zip code 21209. Should be $200-300 to ship internationally.
