Chumash Healing is published by the Malki Museum Press. The Malki Museum, home to the Press, is located on the Morongo Indian Reservation (formerly Malki Reservation) near Banning, California out-side of Los Angeles. Malki is a Cahuilla word meaning "dodging or hiding from." The reservation is historically Cahuilla territory but is now home to Cahuilla, Serrano and small numbers of Luiseno, Cupeno and Diegueno.
