This unplayed Gibson 1959 ES-345TD Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar offers all of the features of the 1959 ES-335 with the original improvements of split parallelogram neck inlays, mono Varitone circuit and a stereo output. Every nuance and spec of the classic model is here down to the "Mickey Mouse" cutaways, aniline dye neck filler, spruce bracing, historic lightweight materials, hot-hide glue neck joint and colored multi-ply binding. Plek Pro fretboard optimization ensures perfect action and intonation. Electronics feature a pair of MHS humbuckers with an Alnico III pickup at the neck and Alnico II at the bridge. A matched set of 550K potentiometers and Varitone circuit gives you a wide range of tones via 6 notch filters adds to this semi-hollowbody's authentic tone.

Gibson Memphis built the 1959 ES-345 TD semi-hollowbody electric guitar to vintage specs for an instrument that plays just like the original. The ES-345 TD's neck and body are built using hot-hide glue which many argue sounds better than synthetic glue. Gibson Memphis also uses a vintage-accurate truss rod, truss rod washer, and anchor in the guitar's neck. Every piece of wood used in the ES-345 is hand selected by its looks and weight.

Tonal excellence is delivered via a pair of MHS Alnico pickups, each with its own volume and tone controls. Tonal and resonant MHS pickup advancements include historically accurate "Patent Applied For" replica with airy tone and unbalanced coils, slightly under wound. The Alnico III neck pickup gives you classic hollowbody-style tones for everything from smooth jazz to dirty blues. Flip to the Alnico II bridge pickup, and you'll command sounds covering everything from bright and clean to raw and mean. Guitarists have found that between the alnico pickups and the 6-way Varitone filter, a wide range of tones cab be created that will work at any gig or recording studio.
