This is a classic Ambassadeur 5500c reel, foot number 771103, dating it back to the 70’s, and it is made in Sweden. The reel, as the pictures show, still looks great and it shows little use. Also, it works and feels like a new reel. The internals are clean and there is no corrosion anywhere. It has been fully cleaned and lubricated with high quality lubes, tuned up and cranks smooth as butter!

For those of you who know classic Ambassadeurs and love that “two clicks” before kicking into gear, this one has it. It also features 2 stainless steel ball bearings and the 4.7-to-1 high speed gears. It casts great too, and the original drag is still smooth.
