The Way we will restore your wheel is a little different than most restorers. We plastic weld all cracks and reinforce them with a marine epoxy. All our paint products are acetone base to help burn into the plastic and hold it's color. All woodgrain is meticulously cut into the wheel and 4 different woodtones are used to get the correct beautiful dark walnut finish(sometimes the flash makes the woodgrain look lighter than it is, but it is the dark walnut color). The old floppy and usually rusty metal bands and tabs are cut off and the the groove plastic welded and filled. A chrome mylar band like what was used on the 70-73 AMC steering wheels is applied and new metal tabs are installed. We then cover the complete wheel in 3 to 4 coats of hardened Urethane clear. It is then color sanded and buffed to a show quality finish, as in the pictures. As you can see by the green wheel, we can even do custom colored wheels.

As a Bonus to help stimulate the hobby, we will re-paint your front cover to help make it like new "FOR FREE" this is a $100 option. We don't re-chrome the cover, what we do is bead blast everything and spray a show quality aluminum finish and airbrush the black dots and center emblem. As shown in the pictures, this leaves a beautiful finish.

NOTE: We can even re-dye your gear shift knob to match the woodgrain on your wheel, perfect. Check out the pictures.

All US shipping is a free. International shipping will be calculated at the end of the auction. The shipping box will be 16 X 16 by 8 and weigh 9lbs.
