A very fine old German certified violin bow made by Karl Wilhelm Knopf. ca. 1850,
branded "C.W. KNOPF" on the stick under the frog. This is an excellent
example in a fine state of preservation made with an inspiration of the
great Tourte model. The stick is reddish brown pernambuco, octagonal,
strong with a very fine balanced. The sound is free and powerful with a
beautiful charming character typical for best bows from this period. The
length of the stick is 72.7 cm and the weight of the bow is 59.5.
