Most of our photographs are in great condition considering they are 20 - 90 years old. For the most part, they show only moderate handling faults, some editor's marks and artist "touch-ups." Q:  What can I do with these photos?
A:  These photos make great gifts! Even though many of our photos are purchased by collectors and/or investors, we have seen move buyers looking to purchases a truly rare item as a gift for those people who have everything. They can be framed and matted in black or silver as décor for your home, office or media room. Imagine getting your mom, dad or best friend a photo of their childhood hero, or getting that person a particular political figure or historic location they once admired or visited.

Q:  Do you combine shipping and invoices?
A:  Yes, if you win multiple auctions on one day you will receive a combined invoice with your shipping discount.  If you win auctions on different days, you will receive a consolidated invoice each day you win with all previous purchases. We extend this courtesy out for 10 days and ask that you wrap things up and make payment on outstanding items after those 10 days.

Q:  How quickly do you ship the items once paid?
A:  We typically ship the same business day payments clear, and almost always by the next business day. If you do not receive an "order shipped" email from us by the close of the next business day from submitting payment, please e-mail us. We use eBay's software to manage our auctions and about one-tenth of one percent of transactions do not sync up with Paypal (much to our dismay).

Q:  Why do some photos have a "HAVIdigital" watermark on them?
A:  This is a digital watermark we use to protect our images. It is NOT printed on photo.

Q:  What are your office hours?
A:  eBay for us is a business, and a very fun one to be in! We are open M-F 9 to 5 (CST). Therefore, we do not return e-mails and phone calls over the weekend.

Q:  Where did these originate?
A:  These photographs are from various newspaper archives.

Q:  Do you re-list items (in case I miss an auction ending)?
A:  As a general rule, items that receive no bids are moved to our store as a fixed-price listing and at a higher price than the starting auction price.

Q:  Do you leave feedback?
A:  Yes--we always leave feedback for buyers. Our software monitors when our buyers leave us feedback, then notifies us that we can leave feedback for the buyer.  Rest assured, if you leave feedback, we will do the same!

Q:  Can the photos be cleaned?
A:  Yes. Grease pencil markings can be wiped off with a dry paper towel (most of which we have already removed).  Permanent marker and "painted areas" can be removed with a baby wipe, Clorox wipe, or denatured alcohol, but BEWARE dampness and photos do not mix! Wipe firmly but briefly then dry immediately. Repeat as necessary.

Q:  Do we make mistakes?
A:  We get this question quite a bit, and the answer is a resounding YES!!!  :-)  Between all of our eBay stores, we ship out hundreds of packages a day, and occasionally we do indeed goof.  But we guarantee that nobody in the eBay world tries harder to make things right!  If you haven't received your shipment in the timeframe you expected, or if you get the wrong item, please let us know immediately.  We ship packages within 24 hours or receipt of payment (except on weekends) and we always send an "Item Shipped" e-mail.  If you've paid via PayPal and a couple of days go by without receiving an "Item Shipped" e-mail, please let us know.  And if we send you the wrong item, we will send your correct item along with a pre-paid envelope to return the wrong item.  We strive very hard to provide the best customer service, so please just let us know if there is a problem with your order.
