Black Mid Century Modern Lounge Chairs with Teak Legs!!!
These pair of LH Hielle chairs have a rich history. Looking back we should have had a paper signed and notarized. They were originally purchased by the Kansas City Art Institute for the President of the College in the 1960's. When he retired in the 1990's, he was allowed to take them with him. Forward to 2004 when he was downsizing and no longer had any room for them. Our friends purchased them and we in turn bought the chairs the same year. We paid well over the starting price of this auction!
Condition: Excellent! The chairs are completely original and in great condition for their age. The fabric is a rich Black. They are from a smoke-free home. No visible Stains. Teak wood is excellent!
The seat and back cushion are not attached to the chair, so they can be flipped and have the same fabric on both sides. They are very comfortable and lightweight for lounge chairs so they are easy to move. The LH Hielle tag is on the bottom of both chairs. The fabric underneath both chairs is a dark navy silk, one of the chairs has a rip in the silk near the tag (please see image), but cannot be seen unless the chair is turned over. Please note that these are vintage items.
