~ One Off Casting  ~

This circular aluminium plaque is painted to depict a black horses head surrounded by laurels against a field of red. This is a one off metal casting taken from the admiralty pattern book, no duplicates from this mold were were made. 

~  HMS Barrosa (D68) ~

HMS Barrosa was a later, battle class fleet destroyer.  In 1948, Barrosa joined the 4th Destroyer Flotilla of the Home Fleet. In 1950, Barrosa with one of her sister-ships and the carrier HMS Vengeance, where the small group performed a number of naval exercises and visits to a variety of ports. Barrosa was placed in Reserve that same year.

The badge has a total height of 7 inches (18cm) 
and width of 5.5 inches (13cm). Weight approx 0.650 kg.

~ Condition ~

The crest is in decent condition.
