SURROUND FACTS
Surrounds are a critical element of speaker performance. The surround not only affects the bass parameters of a speaker it also absorbs and reflects various cone vibrations throughout the frequency spectrum. Further, the surround often determines the response of a speaker to peak signals. Serious speaker designers put much effort and science into the specifics of each particular surround. The type of material, treatment, thickness profile, curvature, angle of attachment and the exact method of attachment all come into play. There are as many variations of surrounds as there are speaker brands and generally they are not interchangeable. That's why at Audiodog's you will only get genuine parts that were specifically designed for your speaker and not something that merely fits.

This sale is for 2 American made Boston Acoustic 10" filleted foam surrounds. These foams are the correct density weight and profile design so that your Boston Acoustic speaker will function as the manufacturer intended. Not all speaker foams are equal and getting the size right is only half the battle. Boston Acoustic speaker foam surrounds are filleted straight angle attach with no defined inner lip. If your replacement surround does not have the role that gently slopes to the inside edge (see photo detail) then Simply Speaking you don't have a Boston Acoustic surround.

This surround is used on all Boston Acoustic models with the 10" speaker.

GLUE: Check my store for the appropriate glue for this type of speaker. "Audiodogs Nitrile Rubber Speaker Repair Adhesive" is recommended and is available in 1/2 & 1 ounce bottles. I will combine shipping when you purchase glue with your surrounds for further savings.
