NOTICE TO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS OF OUR POLICY REGARDING CUSTOMS: We have become more and more aware of the many dilemmas involved with customs in various countries, and we sympathize with our customers who are trying to minimize lost packages and exorbitant fees.  However, we strive to be honest in all aspects of our sales, including the customs documents for governmental authorities. It is for that reason we will not put any value on customs documents except for the value actually achieved at auction.  We would be happy to ship for free to an address in the United States if you have someone who could receive it for you.  If that is an option for you, please let us know the name, address and phone number of the person we will ship to.  If you would like us to ship directly to you, please advise us as to what we can put on the customs documents that will minimize problems and/or fees in your country.  For example, in the UK, it is very important to indicate, “antique over 100 years old”, when an item is such.  We thank all of our international customers for their continued business as we navigate the occasionally problematic world of international shipping and customs!

NOTICE TO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS OF OUR SHIPPING POLICY: We have experienced the loss of some packages by the USPS this past year for which we could not recover our costs.  We discovered the hard way that in the fine print, the USPS states that they will not reimburse for lost packages if such were shipped in the USPS's own boxes, such as their flat rate boxes.  Due to this and some other international shipping problems we have encountered, we now primarily ship via USPS international priority mail in our own packaging.  However, if a buyer would like us to ship another way (such as USPS International Priority FLAT RATE or USPS International First Class), please contact us BEFORE payment and let us know that you are willing to accept the loss and responsibility if the USPS fails to deliver, and please specify how you would like the item(s) shipped.  We will then invoice you for the correct amount.  Thank-you for your understanding.
