The
Nakamichi SR-2 was introduced in 1986 and was built in Japan. It
features the famous Stasis amp circuit designed by Nelson Pass when he
was still with Threshold. Stasis power amplification produces
outstanding clean power, uniform impedance, inherent stability and
tremendous current capability. There are two Stasis power amps per
channel in the Nakamichi SR-2 that each output 35 watts per channel of
isolated Class-A power. It is the Stasis amps that have made the
Nakamichi receivers desirable to this day.
This particular unit
just came out of the repair shop for a check up and all works very well.
It is missing the outer part of the balance knob and the FM antenna,
but everything works fine. Cosmetically, it has rubs, a few scratches
and some dust. This unit is working but is sold as-is with no return.
