Immaculate carving and finishing has to be seen in person to appreciate the full beauty of this magical piece.  This beautiful recycled ebony Hei Toki has been expertly inlaid with a pale gold moon (oyster pearl), iridescent brilliant blue New Zealand Paua shell and sterling silver band and 18k gold studs to form the Maori New Year constellation of Matariki (the Pleiades).  Bound  onto a superstrong black macrame hand braided cord with a superb iridescent paua shell toggle.  The pendant measures 2.4" by 1.3" with  a rounded depth of 7mms . The length of the cord is 20".  A fabulous exquisite piece of wearable art. Can be worn in the water but leaving it for prolonged periods of time in direct sunlight will dry the ebony out and cause color fade.
