SO HERE IS THE BIG QUESTION:  WHAT IS A RADIO SHOW?  WHY COLLECT THEM?  WHERE DO THEY COME FROM?  Well, those are good questions, especially if you have never known of them.  Radio Shows are syndicated productions by one of several large and small distributors who supply broadcast product to radio stations normally during weekends when the usual air personalities have a break.  Many air on Saturday or Sunday evenings or during overnight segments.  They often feature some of the best known voices for their genre from across the country thus the Dick Clark's and Casey Kasem's and Rick Dees and Dick Bartley and so many others.  People collect them for various reasons.  Some just collect the series because they like it and want them all.  Some collect their favorite artists or genre of music.  Rather than an album by the artist or a compilation bought at Wal Mart or downloaded through iTunes or wherever, they have a unique presentation of their favorite artist or music not available anywhere else and always with dj presentations which were very entertaining.  Some collect interviews with their favorite artists as most shows had interview segments.  Believe it or not, some collect commercials especially old car commercials but certainly not limited to only those.  AND, these shows are in limited quantity.  They were pressed just for syndicating stations in the United States .  Many have just a few still in circulation.  Some of the more popular shows may have as many as a couple hundred of each week's show that survived but think about it.  A couple hundred for some 200 million Americans and millions of overseas collectors who look for unique presentations of their favorite artists or form of music is about as rare as rare can be.  AND they are increasingly hard to find.  They were first distributed on reel to reel tape if the show goes back that far into the 60's, then later on lp, later on CD and even later (after 2000 for most shows) on CDR.  Now they are not available at all to collectors since they are distributed by digital download much like you get your music from iTunes.  These shows become rarer and rarer every day because the people who buy them hold on to them and the people who sell them, like me, are running out of them.   My contact for these shows is the general manager of an alternative station in California who has one of the most eclectic play lists you could ever imagine.  He mixes live broadcasting with many of the best syndicated radio shows that you have ever heard and some that you have never heard but will wish you had.   I am acquiring his entire collection of radio shows which span ten years or more of time for about 20 different shows.  It is a literal goldmine of rare radio shows.  It is costing a fortune as you might well imagine but he has committed to allowing me to buy them over the next year in regular portions and then I can offer them to you at a price that will allow me to make a couple of bucks on each show and give you a great buy as well.  Plus I can fill out holes in my own collection!    You will not believe the shows that I am getting.  These shows are in new pristine condition because they were literally played on the day of network broadcast and then stored at the station.  My general manager friend is only selling them because the station needs some serious upgrades and the money for these shows will allow him to make some headway on station modernization.  Everybody wins!!!  My friend gets needed cash for his station; I fill in holes in my collection; and you get GREAT buys on some of the most rare and sought after radio shows that have ever existed.    I am so pumped by all of this!!!!    The shows that you get now and hold on to will never decrease in value and only increase.  Even during the recession which is hopefully ending, the value of shows did not diminish much.  The number bought diminished because people were afraid to spend their money and who blames them.  But the prices did not decrease much and again are on the increase.  I have prided myself since the start to provide the best and fairest cost with a no holds barred guarantee that you will be happy or I refund your money.  I sell them for near what I bought them for.  I give volume discounts and discount postage always.  As the postal service increases their rates, my shipping rates over the years has decreased.  And, I have one of the biggest radio show libraries in the world consisting of tens of thousands of shows, so many that I don't even know all that I have and am sometimes amazed when I go to look for one show and find another that I did not realize I had.  Finally, and most importantly, it is Americana at its best.  Whether the show be from the 60's or 2000's, rock, countdown, oldies, country, classical, religious, jazz or big band, it is unique and home grown.  And you just can't find them anywhere.  Even the record stores that still exist will rarely have any.  Ebay is about the only place you will find them outside of the trade collector magazines like Goldmine.     Radio shows are wonderful representations of the real golden age of music radio.  And every  one you buy is  an original, NOT a copy, not a remake - ALL are limited editions in the couple of hundreds at most and most many fewer.    Once you get hooked, like me, it is a love affair for life!  Welcome to the Club!  IF YOU DO LIKE RADIO SHOWS FEATURING THE BEST MUSIC OF ALL TIME IN EVERY GENRE IMAGINABLE, YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE.  Here are some of the great series I have in LP or CD:        Dick Clark's Rock Roll and Remember,           Flashback,              Casey's Top 40 or Top 20,           AT40, AT20 or AT10 with Casey,            AT40 with Ryan Seacrest,               Dick Clark's Countdown America,              Dick Clark's National Music Survey,                  Cousin Brucie,          Live in the 60's with the Real Don Steele,              The Classics,            Blues Deluxe,           CMT Weekly Country Countdown,            Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40,              Weekly Country Music Countdown,                  Solid Gold Scrapbook,             Hard Drive ,          Pile Driver,       Mary Turner              Back Traxx,            Beatle Years,  Crook and Chase Country Countdown,               Bill Cody's Country Oldies,                 Jukebox Explosion,               Rise Up Country with John Ritter,                 Urban Mixx,          Amazin 80's with Al Bandiero,        Rock Around The World,          Made In America                Street Heat, Powerline,            Rolling Stones History of Rock and Roll,        Oldies with Roger W Morgan       Good Time Oldies Magazine,      The Psychedelic Years,        The Beatles Years,             Goddard's Gold      Tom Joyner,        Mike Harvey's Super Gold,        Tom Kent From the Basement 70's show,             House of Blues,               Leeza Gibbons Hollywood Confidential,                Leeza Gibbons countdown shows,  and literally scores more so that it would take the rest of the page to name them all. Besides the two music rooms in my house, I also have a 10 x 20 air conditioned storage shed filled to the brim with great shows.  I have one of the biggest collections in the world.  They are all available to you for the asking.  I only have time to list a fraction of my shows because I work full time and this is my hobby, but just know they are there!  I give special discounts for bulk purchases of any show.  You tell me what you want, I put up a Buy It Now Auction for you, and they quickly head your way!!!  OK guys and gals, in this outing,  A RARE TREAT!!!!  My general manager friend has a bunch of       LOST 45's WITH BARRY SCOTT.  THE PREMIERE LOST OLDIES SHOW ON RADIO EVER.  EACH WEEK FOR TWO HOURS BARRY SCOTT PLAYED THE LOST 45'S OF THE 70's AND 80's ALONG WITH MANY WONDERFUL FEATURES TO TAKE YOU BACK BACK BACK TO THOSE BETTER TIMES IN OUR LIVES AND IN MUSIC.    HERE ARE SOME OF THE EXTRA FEATURES THAT GO WITH UP TO 25 SONGS IN EACH SHOW.    CHECK OUT SOME OF THE FEATURES:           LOST 45 MOVIE MOMENT             LOST 45 NEWS HEADLINE           LOST 45 TV MOMENT            LOST 45 VINTAGE TV AD          LOST 45 SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK LESSON OF THE WEEK          HAPPY BIRTHDAYS           INTERVIEWS             LOST 45'S SHUDDABEEN             AND           MORE!     IT IS TWO HOURS YOU WILL ENJOY AND LISTEN TO OVER AND OVER AGAIN.    The show aired for two hours every week.  It comes on two CD's in new condition looking like the day they were pressed.   The show has its cue sheets in very good condition.      The show was syndicated by Small Planet Broadcasting, Inc.    Here is what is on this weeks show, which aired on January 11, 1997      Tuff Enuf - Fabulous Thunderbirds            the Other Guy - Little river Band             Lost 45 News Headline           Right On Track - breakfast Club           Hello Again - Cars         Lost 45 Vintage TV Ad        Life In One Day - Howard Jones         Lost 45 Tv Moment                Interview: So You Are a Star - Hudson Brothers            One Fine Day - Carole King              Lost 45 TV Moment            Lovely Day  - Bill Withers              My Fair Share - Seals and Crofts           Lost 45 TV Show Theme of the Week          Lost 45 Shuddabeen: Silver Star - Four Seasons           NyY Groove - Ace Frehely             Don't Stop The Music - Yarborough and Peoples              Deeper Than The Night -Olivia Newton-John           what About Me -Moving Pictures         Lost 45 Movie Moment          Waterloo - Abba          Lost 45 News Headline          Breaing Away - Balance          Words - Missing Persons         Lost 45 TV Moment              Good Girls Don't -Knack              Brazil -  Ritchie Family           Get Used To It - Roger Voudouris             Lost 45 Vintage TV Ad                    Interview - Ariel Dean Friedman            Lost 45 Schoolhouse Rock Lesson of the Week           Hot Rod Hearts - Robbie Dupree              Get It right Next Time - Gerry Rafferty             Happy Birthdays          and      Lost 45 TBV Moment               And remember, each two hour show had upwards of 25 great different songs on it along with all the interviews, commentary, history, and entertainment features!   THIS SHOW IS NO LONGER IN PRODUCTION SO THESE ARE THE LAST.  And YOU can have them.  Imagine, the very last and they can be in your collection.   It is Americana that few people can own both because of their rarity and because people just don't know about them.  You will get the perfect show, TWO HOURS ON TWO BEAUTIFUL CD'S LOOKING LIKE THEY WERE JUST PRESSED in beautiful shape, WITH THEIR CUE SHEETS ALSO IN GREAT CONDITION with only dj marks on some of the cue sheets to acknowledge their playing.  These are genuine collector's items  that you will treasure and which will increase in value as all radio shows, especially the quality shows like BARRY  SCOTT'S LOST 45'S, completely disappear from the market place or become too expensive to afford.  Since all major shows are now distributed to stations by digital download only, these too will soon vanish.   As long as I have them, I will sell them for as reasonable a price as I can,  even given the almost 20% of every purchase that Uncles EBay and Paypal keep for their very own.y                 REMEMBER, The show was produced and distributed by the Small Planet Broadcasting company. THERE IS NO WAY TO TELL HOW MANY OF EACH SHOW SURVIVED BECAUSE SYNDICTORS WILL NEVER RELEASE HOW MANY WERE ORIGINALLY PRESSED.       The show also comes with its original national commercials   On this show some included                         Kit Kat Bars              Gain           Sudafed           Valu Rite                   and more       And if you don't like the national commercials (none of those boring local commercials are in the show; there were various places on the CD show where local commercials could be inserted and time left for them but you will not hear them, only the national commercials you will remember well), and, if you don't care for any commercials, just skip  to the next track and rejoin   the show and all the great music immediately.  Many of my buyers get my shows for the neat old commercials they collect.  Remember that this and all the radio music shows that you see on eBay  are not just about the music - the music can be found anywhere.  It is the mixture of great music and great announcing that makes it so entertaining.  As well, it is a piece of radio and music  history.   Think of what they will be worth in a few years!  (IF you wanted to sell.)  I am selling to share with other music lovers what I was able to get at a reasonable price.  I am saving those shows I treasure the most and sharing the rest with you for very reasonable prices.  Those I do not sell, I will just keep!  It is a great show and would be a valuable addition to your collection.  As always, for U.S. buyers, I charge only shipping on the first show you buy so the more you buy the more money you will save.  For my international friends, I will again only charge shipping on the first show you purchase and all others ship for free.  Good Luck and God Bless You.
